iNotes (Domino Web Access)

Problem: When users tried to attach files to an email message in Domino Web Access (DWA, formally iNotes) using Firefox, the following message appeared and the file was not attached:

Cause: This problem will occur if you selected the deny button and checked the option "Remember this decision" when presented the following internet security warning:

Solution: To address this issue, "Allow" button must be selected and option "Remember this decision" must be checked.
In order to force the prompt to appear again, you need to do the following:

1. Close Firefox.
2. Find the file named prefs.js. The file is usually located in the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\<current login user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<a random string>.default. For example, if you login as Jone, the file path will be C:\Documents and Settings\james\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xqvht3ut.default\prefs.js.
3. Open the file with Wordpad
4. Find the following lines and delete them:

user_pref("capability.principal.certificate.p0.denied", "UniversalXPConnect UniversalBrowserWrite");
user_pref("capability.principal.certificate.p0.id", "0D:72:50:88:27:F5:A6:74:4E:8B:CC:F0:CD:42:9D:80:B4:62:01:3E");
user_pref("capability.principal.certificate.p0.subjectName", "CN=International Business Machines Corporation,OU=Lotus Software Group,OU=Digital ID Class 3 - Netscape Object Signing,O=International Business Machines Corporation,L=Westford,ST=Massachusetts,C=US");

5. Save and close prefs.js
6. Relaunch Firefox. When prompted with the internet security warning, select "Allow" button and check option "Remember this option".
